Your Fractional Laser Resurfacing Treatment
The fractional resurfacing laser treatment takes between 1-2 hours depending on the patient’s skin type and aesthetic goals. Dr. Bapna will choose the best laser for skin resurfacing based on your needs. Mild to moderate discomfort is to be expected and topical anesthetic is applied to sensitive areas of the face such as the eye or mouth area. During the procedure, the laser device is passed over the skin as it emits medical-grade laser light that is absorbed by the skin and removes the outer layer so that collagen production and skin cell rejuvenation can kickstart the healing process.
Immediate and Post-Treatment Care
While in some cases results start to show almost instantly, the skin resurfacing process is gradual. - If a patient has active acne, it is highly recommended that you clear up the acne with other treatments first. This will help prevent any possible infection and should help treat acne more effectively.
